St. Paul's Choir

We have a choir who practice regularly, sing in Sunday services, and at recitals, as well as performing elsewhere at seasonal events. The choir has been established for over 100 years. The repertoire is varied, ranging from Renaissance through to recently composed works.

Choir practice is usually on Thursdays from 7pm until 8pm

We also rehearse at 9.50am - before the 10.30am service.

All are welcome to join in with music here; enquiries about musical participation should be directed to David Cane on 07880 823 832, or at

Currently we are especially seeking Tenors and Basses, but people of all vocal ranges are very welcome.

The choir provides a choral scholarship programme for ages 8 - 21 giving tuition in classical singing, rock and pop, jazz and musical theatre. The choir also runs the Royal Schools of Church Music “Voice for Life” programme for children and adults. For more information on choral and organ scholarships, please look on the scholarship page. The first year of the scholarship provides a solid grounding in Choral and Solo performance. The choral scholars spend dedicated time together to develop as a unit. The Choral Scholars are a major part of the St Paul’s Choir and sing with the choir in the liturgical settings and other events, as performing on their own at specific services or concerts. We also have an organ scholarship programme. If you are interested in the scholarship programmes, please contact David Cane  on 07880 823 832, or at
